Who You Really Are Defines Your Creative Expression:

When BeeZee Vision was first conceived, the goal was to become a comprehensive multimedia creative resource. Traditionally, "multimedia" has been linked solely to technology, but it is much more than that. It means that regardless of your canvas — whether on-screen or tangible — you have the power to bring your vision into reality.

A Guide to Authentic Multimedia Consulting

As multimedia artists, we have gained extensive experience across several "canvases," ranging from hand-drawing and painting to high-end video editing, web development, music, graphic design, literature, photography, and so much more. Creativity knows no bounds; the challenge is providing the proper vehicle for that expression. Too often, people abandon their artistic aspirations because they are fighting the equipment rather than using it as a tool for expression.

Artistry and Authenticity

Artistic expression is subjective, but plagiarism is not. Art is a wide-encompassing discipline where no two artists are the same — even those deemed prodigies in a similar craft.

Consider this: who is the better guitar player? Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Joe Perry, or B.B. King? The answer is that they are all phenomenal in their own right. They each possess a distinct style despite some of them working within the same musical genre. It is the person who makes the expression unique, even if they initially emulated others as a source of inspiration.

The Forensic Takeaway: Don’t compare yourself to other artists. Get inspired, study their craft, and even emulate them to learn. But remember that, in the end, you are you. Even if a player executes a musical phrase exactly like the original artist, that is only one part of the journey.

Capturing the Perpetual Moment

Art is meant to evoke emotion. If properly captured, it preserves a unique moment that lives in perpetuity. Think about the art found in ancient caverns or a film you watched decades ago; the artist may have aged or passed away, but that captured moment remains to inspire generations.

This fascination with art started for me as a child. My earliest memories are linked to artistic expression, which is why I call myself a multimedia artist. Over the decades, I’ve met countless talented artists — some with massive platforms and some without — but all shared the drive and talent.

Building their craft requires two things money can't buy: Talent and Experience. Experience is gained through trial and error; even if you are a "natural," this journey is what makes the art part of you. As a multimedia consultant, I help you translate your artistic essence into a vehicle to be shared, but I cannot make you an artist. That is a personal decision that stems from answering one question:

Who are you?

Only you know the answer. I didn't ask who other people think you are. If you pursue art to answer the latter, you aren't chasing art — you're chasing clout. Success in that lane will always feel hollow. If you feel that question is too conceited, you aren't ready yet. Your art is unique to you; emulate to learn, but remember: Artistic expression is subjective, plagiarism is not.

Giving Yourself Permission: The Ethics of Expression

Expression is personal, but it cannot exist without consent. To illustrate: if you are a musician, you can play as loudly as you want, but the moment those sound waves breach the comfort of others, you have crossed a line. There is a time and place for every type of expression, no matter how bizarre it may seem to outsiders.

Sadly, talented "starving artists" are too common, while unfulfilled individuals often gain huge "clout" without satisfaction. This happens because they answered the wrong question. They tried to become who they thought others wanted them to be. This phenomenon transcends art; it creates a facade fueled by low self-esteem.

When you truly know who you are, you create art not for accolades, but for the necessity of expression. This brings a healthy level of self-esteem. Your art might not be accepted by everyone, but someone will love it. That is why art needs the proper vehicle to be appreciated.

The BZV Conclusion

At BeeZee Vision, we talk about art as it pertains to multimedia because the "human" part is often forgotten when combined with technology. We will certainly discuss the tech and how it adds to the equation, but at its core, multimedia is about providing a vehicle for expression. Technology changes, but the captured expression often outlasts the tech. BZV
